When I went to pick up the car they were charging me a total of $488.00. When I reserved it total was only $177.00. They representative told me that Kayak is a 3rd party and that they do not honor whatever contact Kayak has offered me. I asked him to see the contact and it said no such thing. They had me waiting 40 min at airport for pick-up. When he finally came around he mixed up my name and left after I told him I wasn't "Ruben" then he came back around when he called back and noticed he had the reservations mixed up. Secondly I bought and reserved everything online including insurance. So I had 2 insurance policy's, one from my credit card and the additional and only option you can buy online. Once at the counter he was forcing me to buy THEIR insurance for some bogus reason about not being covered for third party which was untrue. The whole wait time and trying to scam me into purchase additional coverage for no reason I decided to go with a different company that gave me a better price while I was waiting for his pickup. Horrible experience, tons of wasted time and not transparent with prices.4.4 Mediocre

No pick up at terminal had to pay $20.00 US dollars to have a cab take me the equivalent of a 1/4 mile and shady as hell. The store was closing even though it was supposed to be open 24 hours and the guy said you should have called2.0 Poor

When we booked our car with economy, there was no mention of the fact that the office was outside of the airport. We went up to the 12 desks of rental cars and asked where the Economy desk was located and one of the reps explained that a rep will meet you outside. We went outside and no one was there, so we went back k. After a couple of calls and another unsuccessful attempt to link up with Economy outside the airport, we decided to go back in and book with another car rental company (as thankfully cars were available). We had to pay over double the price of what we reserved on Economy. Terrible experience!Hertz

Car was fine. They had a very limited selection and had to force upgrade me (which cost me more in gas).Cons:
They did NOT accept the Allianz insurance I had purchased online via Kayak and insisted I purchase their insurance. This more than doubled the cost of the rental. Allianz did refund me, but Kayak should not offer this option if Hertz will not accept it.2.0 Poor

When we went to pick up the car, we were told that they didnt have any cars available. There were others cars on the lot at a much higher price. Very disappointed as we were on vacation and were left in limbo at the last second.Cons:
That they would’ve notified us ahead of time of the availability of cars. At a minimum they should had let us rent a car of our choosing at the same or lower rate as our reservation.2.0 Poor

Some of the staff were helpful and apologetic about all the issues we encounter.Cons:
The vehicle was not available at the time we landed. Had to get a cab to my hotel and come back the next day, we were a large family therefore very difficult to get to the hotel and back, especially as our plane arrived at midnight. The vehicle they gave us didn't have the proper license plate and the staff called me through my whole trip trying to have me come back for them to make do the paperwork. Also, they charge me bogus charges that were not included on my original reservation, on their words, those are country charges.National
