Cons:
I have reserved with Avis three times now and theee times they have no car available when I got there. The third time I had called to confirm they were not out of cars. They said as long g as I arrive by 1pm I would get a car. I was there at 11:30. No cars available. I will never ever use Avis Budget again.2.0 Poor

Cons:
I had requested a car rental near the San DIego airport and when I got to Avis, was told that the pickup for the car was about 20 minutes away and it was suggested that I Uber there. I didn't have time for that, so they referred me to a private car rental service that provides transportation primarily for missionaries heading for Mexico. The private agency owners were very accommodating, but I paid twice the price quoted, got a car that didn't have a functioning speedometer, a brake light that wouldn't turn off, and another dial on the dash that was out of control. Overall, it was a big disappointment and delayed arrival at my destination by about an hour or so.7.6 Good

Pros:
It is so rare today to have a pleasant experience with any company in the service industry. My experience was one of those rare instances! Your representative was pleasant and efficient. The car was ready when we arrived and the paperwork took less than 5 minutes (which was very important because we had a 13 month old who needed a nap.) When we returned the car, the cost was exactly what had been agreed upon -- no hidden fees. Thanks for making this part of our trip run so smoothly!!2.0 Poor

My reservation was not honored by Hertz. We had to run around town to find another rental at the last minute. My pick time was scheduled for 12 noon. We arrived at 12:10 only to find out the pick up place closed at 12 noon! WTF!!! I will not use your service again.10.0 Wonderful

Do not book hertz. If you book online it would be wise to call and confirm they have a vehicle. The website will let you book regardless of inventory. Stay away from La Jolla CA location6.0 Okay

Michael and Phillip were doing their best with the resources they had available.Cons:
Car was not available when we got there and we were delayed by an hour and a half. Were assigned to car that had just been turned back in and had to wait for it to be cleaned and it still had food, plastic fork and other trash in it. Outside of vehicle was damaged significantly too. Per the office, overbooking is common and causes great frustration for staff and customers. Need major improvement in this area.Dollar
