I thought pick up was speedy and the plus was I was able to get a free up grade to an automatic. I had pre purchased car insurance through what I thought was Kayak like the car rental, but Alamo wouldn’t accept the coverage and had to repurchase car insurance at the airport. My car did have a low tire pressure light come on a few hours after renting. It appeared fine to the eye and since we were staying local, we didn’t return the car to Alamo.

The Alamo service was great. The car was horrible. I had to drive it for 4 hours to get to my destination and it was so uncomfortable. the worse are I have ever driven.

Car class reserved not available. Wait estimated at 1h. Class above immediately available but was asked to pay an upgrade! Took a lower class (no refund there...). Was informed that any breakdown would cost me 290$ for intervention, after I mentioned I was using my credit card insurance. And funnigly, the car I was given had a permanent hand brake alarm problem despite hand brake unlocked. this at pick up, but i didn't have time anymore to exchange. Gd thing I did only a small number of km.... Not a good experience this time. thks best Sylvain

The price, vehicle cleaniness, staff and check in and out was EXCELLENT!!! I kept the car an extra 2 days, the process was easy and convenient. I also appreciated the due back reminders. I will definitely use again

The rental location is terrible. It's a small office on a shady strip. The cars are on the roof of adjacent parking deck. The Guys who work there are really nice but the car was shady. It had no window fluid, it was a screech every time you turn. The back seat headrest didn't work. The list goes on... Just pay the extra money and go to a reputable place. This place is below low budget. Never again!

Cons:

I spent an hour and a half in line to pick up the car and when it was finally my turn I was told there were no cars available except for a 12 passenger commercial van. If I hadn’t insisted they would have never gave me another option. There were a bunch of hidden fees, had to call to get them clarified after I dropped car off. Will not rent again.

The car was filthy. There was mud and dirt all over the inside. There was sticky stuff all over the windows. They told me they had no other car and we needed a car for our trip. I asked them to swap the driver on the reservation not add an additional driver but they didn’t so I was charged for an extra driver. They said my tank was full and it was close to half way but I returned it full. I would never rent from hertz again.

The time it took to complete the pick up was ok, the waiting room/counter is a bit congested and there isn’t a clear place for patrons to wait in line to be served in order. The way it’s set up it pretty much relies on the customers to be aware of their place in “line” so they k ow when it’s their turn. There doesn’t seem to be a clear check in of vehicles. There isn’t a designated worker assigned for I take and it feels like if there were a line, you would also wait in line to check the vehicle back in. While there is a formal check out process involving walking the vehicle with the worker as they take photos of the vehicle, at check in, there are no photos taken. This doesn’t make sense as there could be damage done to the vehicle after check in that isn’t the responsibility of the last renter that could be associated with the last renter. Also,returning, there was two associates and no customers and the associates didn’t greet. I understand it was early on a Sunday but making your customers feel welcomed is important. Nothing bad to report just a couple areas for consideration.

Staff was friendly but not forth coming with info about tolls and so we called hertz and we were told we needed to see an agent at our nearest location. Found out the location had just closed and after another call to Hertz we were told again to wait until morning to get the info on toll sticker! Found out the next morning we didn't need to see anybody because we were to wait for a bill in the mail. We lost a day of travel because of this:( Also the side door of the cargo van kept getting stuck and would not open and the inside light would not turn off. My husband spent over 2 hours trying to turn it off on the way back from our trip! It was a very bad experience.

Cons:

A different vehicle altogether, as well as, information on the use of tolls. For the price we paid we deserved better service!!

Terrible service. We only went to rent the car for an Day as a surprise treat for my husband. We already had a rental for a week of our holiday. They hadn’t called us to tell us they only took credit cards. We had debit card an they wouldn’t take my one as in my name even though it was my treat.

There was no one there, closed when I got there. Then found out the next day, they did not have any cars available to rent? Need the $22 dollars refunded. My wife just called Avis, they said to call Kayak for a refund?? She has turned this experience over to capital one to dispute the fee, since there were no cars available.

Staff was very friendly. All went well with pick up and delivery. The windows and side mirrors were so dirty and water spotted I could barely see out. They had a film on them which made things really blurred, especially at night.

Staff was very friendly and fast even though the office was very busy. Car was very clean. Price was incredible. Drop-off took less than a minute. They had a space for me to leave my own car overnight.

Cons:

I declined the CDW when making the online reservation. When I inquired about adding it at check-in, the price for it was four times higher. But this was out of the hands of the staff at my rental location and controlled by Thrifty itself.

Car had food crumbs. Had a grinding noise to it when driven. When I called to trade out the car they told me I would have to drive an hour and a half away to the airport to do so or call AAA. They had no regard for our safety.

Horrible experience. This was fulfilled by Hertz. They bait and switch car was not clean at all!!! Never cleaned!!! So probably wasn’t disinfected either. Staff was rude and signage was lacking in the airport for the pickup location.

What can I say good about this reservation. Nothing really. I rent a fair amount of cars, and I’ve never had many problems at all, but this was a total debacle. My car is in garage being repaired, and I needed a rental for a Dr. visit I never made. The first problem was the rental office was closed, and the person I spoke with said it would not be opening any time soon. He also said he did not have a car for me, and that he would call me at 4 pm when he had a car. I never got that call. I spent over $50 in cab fair round trip. I fly for the airlines and witness everything from great customer service to the worst. We live in the age of technology, and things like this rarely happen, but when they do, people make the difference. Not in this case.

I didn't like national due the over charge was out rageous, getting charged 80 cents kilometers when it'd suppose to be 33 cents kilometers. They were charging 3000 kilometers when it's 23650 n charging 2000 in kilometers charges when he said I was out of province, they gave me a Alberta license plate car n now they want to charge me, the attitude from the man was very rude,problems with car and said couldnt do anything, I need to be treated like criminal, when it's criminal the way they try and scam you. I will never rent from another rental car company again especially your company, I don't give you any stars and a poor review. Worst company.. the way he ordered me to pay and the way he talked to me in public, he said I don't need to talk to him like that when he kept refusing to give the mangers number and argued with me n when people were staring he said I don't need to be treated this and talked in his language and got angry gave me the number after 20 min, I walked 2 hours home passed off with the treatment and then the guy took the car out and literally stepped on the pedal went more then speed limit on the airport road, he was mad with ne cause I refuse to pay 3000 dollars for double the amount to what was told.. never rent a car in fort st john they will rob you blind...

They tried to rip me off! didn't provide me with a damage for the existent damage and the employee said will provide it latter but I took pictures before I use the vehicle. Now they are saying the car never been damaged and I have to be charged for the old damages as according to their system the car never been damaged and the vehicle year is 2021! I disputed it and sent my proves but it is very poor management and it is stress and anxiety no needs for me to go through I put down a cheaper options to be with reputable company but National/Enterprise prove me wrong.

Payless has great customer service for the situation we were out in. The insurance prices are crazy but at the end of the day it wasn’t Payless fault. This is a country requirement that we did understand prior to booking. The pick up was easy and Luis was great!! Drop off was simple as well and super friendly. Car was cleaned when we picked up and that was appreciated.

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.

Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

Payless always comes through, the pickup and dropoff process is fast and easy never any issue.. The payless cars are very updated and reliable, the price is always affordable and the deposit is always given back as soon as you drop it off, no extra charges or fees.. I highly recommend them, been using them for the past 3 yrs everytime i travel and not 1 issue..

The experience at ACE Rent a car, Mississauga was extremely disappointing. Despite booking a car for a week, the receptionist was rude and unprofessional. Even after providing proof of insurance coverage, he refused to release the rental car and insisted on receiving personal information via email. This lack of customer service and trustworthiness makes ACE Rental the worst choice for car rentals. I strongly advise against renting from them and will not be recommending their services to anyone.

The member of the team was purposely using confusing language when it came to purchasing the *optional* insurance policy. I asked him numerous times if it was optional if I had car insurance and he refused to answer my question and kept telling me I needed to be covered under California insurance. The cost would have added another $200 and It felt very scammy. Fortunately, I stepped away to review my options and the manager was kind enough to inform that it was in fact optional if I could show proof of insurance.

We arrived late for our reservation because our flight was delayed several times. We walked in, gave the man my license and he almost immediately told me he didn’t have the car i reserved because I was late and they gave it away. He made no effort to accommodate a situation that was beyond my control and said there was nothing he could do. He then proceeded to make a phone call to his “friend” Sakura who said he would pick us up and rent us a car. The whole situation felt sketchy and unsafe and we walked down the street to SIXT, where we received excellent service. I have rented a car from this Ace location In the past and it was a good experience, but I will never rent from here again!!!

I had to pay so much extra because apparently the insurance I had didn’t cover Expedia/economy car rental despite said insurance covering every other car rental agency. So either I was lied to or it’s just economy and I’m never going to rent from them/expedia again. I was also given a number to call travel guard which is not able to cover after the rental purchase was made. The car was also full of dog hair. In total this rental cost me 200$ instead of the 40 +30 I paid for the rental and insurance initially. Huge rip off. Took forever and is so inconvenient to get to without a car! Insane. Never again.

Took a long time to get the car. First of all, there shuttle only comes to remote rental car center near LAX. You need to take a bus to get there. Then you take there shuttle to get to their office. It took me almost an hour to get the get and be on my way. There were two agents working the desk and they were really helpful but, the whole process was slow. I had to wait a long time.

It was a really disappointing experience. It also ruined my trip as I couldn’t make it to my destination and there was no refund due to being same day. The representative at the car rental desk gave us wrong information. She told us that the price we paid at the counter included the price of the rental car. However, when I later reviewed the bill, I discovered that the price we paid at the counter was for an insurance package only, and that we were ALSO charged separately for the rental. I picked the wrong time based on incorrect recollection of when we were supposed to land, but it was required to wait until that time (two hours later) to pick up my rental. There was no previous walk around and I discovered a couple of rock strikes after I drove out of the facility. Fortunately they were rather small and there was no charge for them, but I was worried about it. Otherwise, the car I ended up with (Dodge Durango), which was not the one I reserved (Toyota Corolla), was quite satisfactory and even got respectable mileage (over 25 mpg). So I was pleased. There was a little difference in the ride, however, as the Durango is built on a truck chassis and it is a bit stiffer than a sedan.

After going through many hoops to show that I have adequate insurance coverage, I was asked to produce a declaration page. Travel options to/from the offsite location is HORRIBLE. The shuttle buses run every 20 minutes and is a very small shuttle when it does arrive. Once at the rental location, the lines to speak with a rep is just as bad as the wait for the shuttle buses. This is a big inconvenience and would drive me back to paying the higher rental cost for convenience and speed. On a good note, my customer service rep was amazing! And the vehicle I receive is always nice and clean.

It was the worst possible experience! The agent, who had no name tag, was very rude and unprofessional. He told me that since I was renting for just one day, I should have gone to Budget or Enterprise. He charged my account twice. He treated my husband and me as if we were trying to steal something. He said that I needed to show proof of residency, so I did, but it had my husband’s name on it. Therefore, I had to add my husband to the reservation, and then he charged me twice the amount that was agreed upon for adding my husband. The entire time, he kept saying, “it would be easier if I canceled your reservation and let you go.” And I left the store without the car!

There was a minor scratch at the bottom of the front bumper which is not visible unless you are on your knees. As far as I am concerned we didn’t do anything to cause it. It may be already there and we didn’t notice when we took the care at midnight. At any rate my gripe is with how they handled this situation. We bought most expensive coverage possible with them which is twice the rental price itself. But during checkout they stalled us because of this issue even though we told them that we are cutting too close to our departure time and requested them to call the insurance and get it reimbursed because we already bought the coverage. But they insisted on us calling them and we couldn’t because we didn’t have local mobile plan. After lot of back and forth they checked other contracts on the vehicle and probably figured out that the damage was already there and the let us off the hook. It was a happy ending but the whole drama could have been avoided if they had customer service at the forefront of their minds.

Allied car rental in San Juan Peurto Rico is a rip off. They made me buy their insurance, $10 a day, when mine said I was totally covered and made me buy toll coverage $10 a day. Later we saw we could have paid toll at the toll stations and it was $1 and only if you left San Juan. None of this was explained by kayak. I should have just rented from the airport, it would have been $30 a day and allowed my insurance and they are right there no shuttle.

When I went to pickup my car, I had to wait ~1 hour to speak with someone at the desk. The agent I spoke to at the desk lied to me and said that I cannot use my personal auto insurance and had to use their plan. I call their corporate number later and the confirmed that agent was incorrect and refunded my money spent on the insurance. The car they had reserved for me was stuck behind several cars on the lot and inaccessible. Because of this they tried to give me another vehicle in the same class. The replacement they picked had visible damage/dent to the multiple panels, doors, and bumper. I started documenting all the damage in detail and taking pictures, the agent started getting visibly annoyed. He ended up providing me with a different car in the end. When I came time to drop off the vehicle, the lot nearly full and there was a line extending into the street just to enter the lot. I'm still waiting to deposit to be returned and I anticipating that I will need to call their corporate office again. This was an extremely poor experience through and through. I will never rent from Mexrentacar ever again, and I will never recommend their services to anyone.

We booked a car for $140 for 6 days. I checked several times to make sure the car rental was at the airport, not with a shuttle. When we arrived, and finally found an attendant for U-Save amongst the crowd when you exit SJD (Cabo) airport, he indicated we would take a shuttle to the car rental office. We still waited 5-10 minutes for the shuttle. When we finally arrived, they said there were mandatory insurance fees of nearly $60/day, which would bring my total closer to $500–that’s more than triple the price I had reserved with. That was supposed to be the total cost. After much back and forth, they said there’s nothing they could do and that this 3rd party insurance is required in Mexico. We were almost going to agree, about to start the paperwork, then they said they would have to charge $1500 as a deposit for incidentals. This was NOT a hold, this was going to be a charge that they would refund. I’ve rented cars before and I understand a deposit for incidentals. But this amount seemed outrageously high, especially in light of the forced insurance. We decided to skip the car rental altogether and just used taxis/Uber to get around. It cost us much much less, and definitely less headache. I would never ever book with U-Save ever again. And generally be wary of renting a car in Cabo for that matter, as they just try to impose additional costs and triple the anticipated cost.

EVERYONE in that arrived on my shuttle were in the same boat; they didn't have any of our vehicles; they were simply telling everyone that their reservation is cancelled, we'll receive our money back (eventually), and we just need to go elsewhere to find a car last minute, at night. IT WAS A DISASTER! Thank God one of the guys working there took pity on my group since I had my 80 year old parents with me, and managed to find another vehicle for us. But, in the fine print (though without specifying the amount), it turned out that OC Car Rental had other charges -- to the tune of $222 (a $20/day charge for "mandatory supplementary liability insurance" -- despite the fact that I am covered by my regular auto insurance - and a $35 "car rental center fee" and a $25 "enhanced disinfecting cleaning fee" and a $14 "surcharge"). The agent was not at the airport on the day of pickup. He told me the reason was that he had called me a day before and I had not answered, which is not true as I have the call logs and haven't received any call/sms/email. Then proceeded to tell me that most of people don't read T&C and that I had to pay 500 EUR insurance for 4 days if I wanted the car, on top of other fees. I am pretty sure something like this would stand out in the invoice, not hidden and nothing to do with T&C because this company would then have much bigger problems than scam sales. I reserved this as a referral from Kayak to Rentalcars.com. Their website, along with the confirmation email stated a "Total Cost" of $111.72. When I picked up the car, the agent presented me with "additional local costs" amounting to an additional $71.18. This included an unheard of "Pickup Fee" for $10.00 and "Dropoff Fee" for $10.00. I have never been charged these from any rental agency, anywhere in the world prior to this. None of these "additional local" charges were listed anywhere before pickup. The contract stated "Total Cost" of $111.72, and that's what I expected. In addition, the $250.00 "security deposit" has not been refunded or credited to my credit card as of yet. I have tried all morning to reach the agency to inquire about this. They answered only after about 30 minutes of putting me on hold. The representative could not give me any reasonable answers about the additional charges, but said the security deposit would take 5-10 business days. I will monitor that. Please remove Global Car Rental from your list of agencies. They have committed what I believe is a classic case of Bait and Switch.

Very disappointed in the exorbitant extra charges I wasn’t expecting including a $10 pick up and $10 drop off an etc. I know they said they would be local charges at it later but I certainly didn’t expect over $500 worth of them. I didn’t like the fact that there’s no credit for early return. Words cannot express the sheer level of disappointment and frustration I experienced while dealing with "Right Cars" Car Rental. This company is a prime example of how NOT to conduct business, and I strongly urge anyone considering renting from them to think twice and avoid this nightmare at all costs. Let me start by saying that "Right Cars" has absolutely no regard for their customers' well-being or financial security. When I arrived at their rental office, ready to pick up my supposedly affordable 50 euros car, I was greeted with an outrageous demand: a whopping 650 euros as a deposit. Are they out of their minds? It's beyond comprehension how they can justify such an exorbitant amount for a car that is worth a fraction of that deposit. As if their greed wasn't enough, "Right Cars" shamelessly refused to refund or provide any reasonable alternatives. Instead, they presented me with an ultimatum: pay an additional 80 euros for insurance or fork over a mind-boggling 500 euros as a deposit for a vehicle that should be barely worth the initial rental cost. This level of exploitation and disregard for customer satisfaction is simply disgraceful. It's clear that "Right Cars" Car Rental thrives on taking advantage of unsuspecting customers. Their outrageous deposit requirements and unwillingness to accommodate reasonable requests are not only unethical but also bordering on fraudulent practices. I cannot stress enough how important it is to steer clear of this company if you value your hard-earned money and want to avoid unnecessary stress and disappointment. In conclusion, "Right Cars" Car Rental is an absolute disaster of a company. They epitomize everything that is wrong with the car rental industry. The good: they had a car as promised. The not good: they lured me in with a “too good to be true” price a week prior to arrival; then informed me I needed to carry an absurd amount of insurance on my policy, otherwise I need to purchase their insurance at $35 per day. No effort was made to make me aware of this policy prior to arriving. By then you’ve taken the shuttle way outside the airport; and your basically stuck with a huge bill you weren’t planning on. Better to be upfront with customers re: the real cost of the rental before committing to it. But again, they did have a car available.

Staff was very friendly !! Car was clean and very reliable. Although I was not expecting an extra $230 in fees that I had to pay when I got there. I paid $52 for the 3 days I was going to be there when I made the reservation, but when I got there I had to pay an extra $230. They advertised it to be $7/day + tax which was a great deal so I jumped on it. Because of that I won’t rent from them again. I’ll stick with the rentals at the airport.

Disappointed enough to not request more of your services because I closed the business and when I arrived at the agency they demanded a new insurance and asked me for an extra $650. Everything must be dealt with before, both the price, requirements and documentation and when the client pays, the business is closed, and it is criminal that we cleinyes are surprised when we arrive for what we buy or lease. President Baiden said that these bad practices must end so that there is confidence and business is generated in the country. You are ruining the system. Now I want my money back in full since I had to rent a car elsewhere.

Samir provided an excellent customer service and made my experience pleasant and smooth. He deserves all praise and commendations. I think it’s time for Addcar to invest in a kiosk inside the terminal and provide this amazing experience to the other passenger that only pick up from rentals within the terminal.

It was an absolutely terrible experience. The person I dealt with when picking up was so rude and unprofessional. I was shocked at the additional expenses and how I felt forced into an insurance that seemed like a scam. There were multiple additional expenses that were not explained to me and the woman seemed to think I was foolish for asking for an explanation. I was so nervous about returning the vehicle that I cut my vacation short by an extra day just to get the vehicle back early in case they were difficult again to deal with. So I had to pay $150 for a hotel just to get the vehicle returned early. When I did go to the dropoff, there was another person having the exact same difficult time with staff. It was so wildly upsetting to watch this man struggling with this horrid customer service as well. I will never use this service again and I will attempt to warn others about this experience.

Staff were kind though they didn’t seem to have an information needed to answer questions related to insurance and cost. No shuttle service was available from the airport and no one was Available to answer the phone, other travelers helped us figure out how to get to the pick up location 3km from the airport. The $2000 hold/charge to our bank account was a huge surprise and it took over 2 hours to get the car at pick up due to them being understaffed and having a lot of confused costumers.

The initial car had very worn tires, so they gave us a free upgrade. The pickup of car was a little slow (waited 20 min for them to get to airport and had to deal with car change), but I've had worse with larger on-airport car rentals. Make sure that you have the number to call when getting to the airport so they know you've arrived.

AddCar left us stranded at the airport. We waited for 2 hours until we had to walk out of the airport to search for a car with my 92-year old grandmother. The unresponsive agency ruined our brief visit to Iceland.
