There was an issue with the usual check in due to tech problems, Your customer service team still worked diligently to check us in the old way and we were held up only 35 minutes instead of an estimated hour. The staff was friendly with both check in and return.

The experience at ACE Rent a car, Mississauga was extremely disappointing. Despite booking a car for a week, the receptionist was rude and unprofessional. Even after providing proof of insurance coverage, he refused to release the rental car and insisted on receiving personal information via email. This lack of customer service and trustworthiness makes ACE Rental the worst choice for car rentals. I strongly advise against renting from them and will not be recommending their services to anyone.

The member of the team was purposely using confusing language when it came to purchasing the *optional* insurance policy. I asked him numerous times if it was optional if I had car insurance and he refused to answer my question and kept telling me I needed to be covered under California insurance. The cost would have added another $200 and It felt very scammy. Fortunately, I stepped away to review my options and the manager was kind enough to inform that it was in fact optional if I could show proof of insurance.

We arrived late for our reservation because our flight was delayed several times. We walked in, gave the man my license and he almost immediately told me he didn’t have the car i reserved because I was late and they gave it away. He made no effort to accommodate a situation that was beyond my control and said there was nothing he could do. He then proceeded to make a phone call to his “friend” Sakura who said he would pick us up and rent us a car. The whole situation felt sketchy and unsafe and we walked down the street to SIXT, where we received excellent service. I have rented a car from this Ace location In the past and it was a good experience, but I will never rent from here again!!!

Nice people and car, but not very businesslike. Would have liked a printed receipt before I left. I still don't have a receipt >24 hours later, even via email, I turned the keys in to the man on duty at 4:30 yesterday and someone called me today to ask where the keys were.

Car was fine. Everything else was a challenge. Took waaaaay too long to get through their process. Killed half a day by the time we went to two different rental locations and got our car. Then my rental was shortened. Got the car finally at 4 pm but had to return by noon the following day. Never again!!!

I loved the car loved the easy pick up and return of the rental car. The airport made it very self explanatory to get the car back with white letters on the road to direct you back to the rental car return. Made me smile. I had to extend my rental due to not finishing the work I came down for and the company made it very easy to extend.

Pros:

I prepaid for a Hertz rental car for our 5 day vacation. However when we arrived to the rental location, there were no cars available. The Hertz staff were unhelpful and did nothing to remedy the situation besides giving me the Hertz phone number. In short we lost money and time and gained nothing from the experience except the wisdom to never book through Kayak again.

Was notified 30 minutes before pick up time there was no car available for me. I was told they would call me within 20 mins with a car & never heard back. I continued calling them throughout the day, each time there was a different excuse why there wasn’t a car available. Had to rent from enterprise

I made a reservation about two weeks in advance of my trip, when I went to pick up the car the assistant manager told me they didn’t have anymore cars and they haven’t had any for two days. That’s not the end of it, when I inquired about why I wasn’t informed the assistant manager told me that they’ve been “trying to call me” But the problem is I actually called this particular Hertz office the day before pick up and then the morning of and both times my reservation was confirmed by the associate. This manager never apologized and showed a complete disregard for the inconvenience and then gave me an attitude for being upset quote “I don’t know what you want me to do” and shrugged her shoulders. When I inquired about my refund she said “we didn’t charge you” as she walked off to the back. I will not be doing business here ever again.

Drop off was easy

Cons:

Budget called a day before to inform that all cars were sold out and cancelled the rental . Then on the day of the rental they called to inform they now have a car available. Very unreliable to rent if you have solid plans for the day . Also they overcharged

I thought pick up was speedy and the plus was I was able to get a free up grade to an automatic. I had pre purchased car insurance through what I thought was Kayak like the car rental, but Alamo wouldn’t accept the coverage and had to repurchase car insurance at the airport. My car did have a low tire pressure light come on a few hours after renting. It appeared fine to the eye and since we were staying local, we didn’t return the car to Alamo.

The Alamo service was great. The car was horrible. I had to drive it for 4 hours to get to my destination and it was so uncomfortable. the worse are I have ever driven.

Car class reserved not available. Wait estimated at 1h. Class above immediately available but was asked to pay an upgrade! Took a lower class (no refund there...). Was informed that any breakdown would cost me 290$ for intervention, after I mentioned I was using my credit card insurance. And funnigly, the car I was given had a permanent hand brake alarm problem despite hand brake unlocked. this at pick up, but i didn't have time anymore to exchange. Gd thing I did only a small number of km.... Not a good experience this time. thks best Sylvain

The experience started badly, but then was corrected by a manager named Edgar. He was very gracious and professional. He quickly corrected the problem. As per their staff in general, many of them were rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. I will honestly say that specific manager named Edgar (Edgardo) is the best asset Sixt has.

Jose was super kind to me when I arrived. I was flying in for a funeral and he had nothing but kind words for me and helped me tremendously when my booking was not ready due to cleaning. He knew I needed to get on the road to be with family and did everything to accommodate me. I will definitely use Sixt again based on customer service alone. Thanks!

Payless has great customer service for the situation we were out in. The insurance prices are crazy but at the end of the day it wasn’t Payless fault. This is a country requirement that we did understand prior to booking. The pick up was easy and Luis was great!! Drop off was simple as well and super friendly. Car was cleaned when we picked up and that was appreciated.

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.

Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

Payless always comes through, the pickup and dropoff process is fast and easy never any issue.. The payless cars are very updated and reliable, the price is always affordable and the deposit is always given back as soon as you drop it off, no extra charges or fees.. I highly recommend them, been using them for the past 3 yrs everytime i travel and not 1 issue..

The car was not available an hour after scheduled pick up and the line was too long for me to wait as I had movers waiting for me at my home. I asked the person at the front counter what I could do and they told me I would have to wait. No ETA or timeline offered. After I left, I checked back to see if it was available that afternoon-still no car available. Even an hour before my scheduled drop-off it said that the car was not yet available online. Worst experience working with a rental car company ever.
