Pros:

First, they did pick me up and at the place everyone was eager to help. Everyone was fantastic specially Nicole, she was professional, courteous and helpful. Nicole even offered me a discount for next time, I am definitely coming back and would recommend this place.

I spent over three hours going back-and-forth before I could get a car, because they did not honor the original agreement saying that it was Memorial Day weekend and they would charge me for Tuesday even though I was dropping the car off on Monday, it’s a scam. They said they had to create a new agreement and not use the old one, I now I have to call Budget customer service for a refund, the customer service office told me that I need to call after I complete my trip. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had renting a car.

Staff was friendly, fast, and I liked the car they gave me.

Cons:

Only things that would have made it better is (1) if they could have picked me up and dropped me off from rental place; and (2) if they had running water to wash the car with before they gave to me. But wasn’t bad at all.

Pros:

The mileage on the car was excellent.

Cons:

Guy at the front desk was incredibly nice when going to pick up the car. However, at drop off he was a completely different person. Picked up my rental and it had cigarette smell that increased overtime and the car said “Maintenance Required”. It drove well but he just waved his hands and said I’d be fine. Willing to give them another shot but you could tell they’re just there to collect a paycheck. Would be nice if these people cared more about the service. Especially since I brought up all those things, the response was “well what can ya do *shrug*. No compensation or anything. I guess you’re better off just going to enterprise.

Pros:

I liked that there were kiosks to get everything taken care of without having to wait in line if you have all your information.

Cons:

I didn't like that everyone that was waiting in line was long gone before I even got to finish. It was a lengthy process. I also didn't like that I had to go inside to check out for whatever reason. The lady didn't seem to know what was going on. Saying that I reserved the drop off at a different location than what I picked it up which was not true. This process took longer than any other place that I have gone to in the past.

Despite having a reservation to rent a car for a single day in Puebla, when we showed up we were told there was no car available. Then the man at the front desk said there was a car available but it would be more expensive due to local tax. We were okay with this, but he then said we needed to put down a deposit of $5000 usd, which seemed crazy for just one day. He then changed the deposit amount to $88 usd. The entire interaction felt like he was just making up numbers. It felt very sketchy so we decided to forget renting a car entirely and just traveled via bus…..

The customer service isn't exceptional, but it's adequate. This is a respectable car company, one of the few remaining in an industry often marked by dishonesty. The staff were nice and helpful. The car was nice and clean. But we did experience over 40mins of delay before the car became available.

I bought insurance through Kayak. When I picked up the car the SixT agent said we have to put a €1500 hold on your card in case of damage. I never heard of that before. I took the car and after 5 days returned it in the same condition I received it. The SixT agent said all was good and I expected the €1500 hold to be reversed. It’s been more than 24 hours but the hold is still on. Be careful when renting from SixT.

While I had a reservation, I did not rent a cat from SIXT. They were inflexible in working with me to change my reservation (due to airline flight delays.) and ultimately charged my card even though I never arrived for picking up the car ( note I did Not have a Prepaid rate. My reservation was for a Pay on Pickup.)

It was hard to get a hold of them in the morning. I was on hold for 30+ minutes. I gave up as I was first in line according to the recording. I called back and no one called me back. At noon I left a message and none called me back. At 2 I called and finally spoke to someone. Once I spoke to someone it was excellent from there all the way through.

When I pay money to reserve a vehicle and I get to dollar to check in and was told there is no more 7 passenger vehicle available and there's three people ahead of me also waiting on a 7 passenger vehicle. I think it's poor on Dollar and the third parties Dollar works with. I was not refunded my money for the service I could not use.

Everything was fine. There was a bit of a wait to pickup the car & mixup on car itself compared to the rental agreement. But everyone handled it fast, smooth, & positively. Drop off was smooth. No issues at all. The only inquiry or recommendation is to enhance the Dollar rental experience to be more like renting for Hertz, but there might be reasons I am not considering. Anyway, all good. Electronic car rentals themselves need some help, but that's the car & EV charging station issue not the rental company. Thanks
