Top tips for finding cheap flights to Jamaica

  • Enter your preferred departure airport and travel dates into the search form above to unlock the latest Jamaica flight deals.
  • When flying from the US to Jamaica, those with disabilities may consider landing at Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) when using the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)-KIN flight route. Travelers with special requirements and mobility issues can request assistance at the Los Angeles International Airport, such as luggage assistance, medical attention, and cab-to-aircraft wheelchair services.
  • The best locations to relax while waiting for a flight to various locations are thought to be airport lounges. Most low-cost tourists choose to leave from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) if they want to rest at a modest lounge before catching a trip to Jamaica from the US. Budget-conscious travelers can unwind before their flight in the Delta Sky Club, which provides high-quality amenities at reasonable prices.
  • Flying on JetBlue 1059, Delta Airlines, or JetBlue 1759 from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) or John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) may be the ideal option for US parents who want to take their kids on vacation to Jamaica. These airports provide year-round non-stop service to Jamaica from the USA. Because direct flights make it possible to get to Jamaica in the least amount of time, the risk that your kids will be exhausted before they get to Jamaica from the USA is decreased.
  • If your flight from the US is planned to land in Jamaica at night and you're flying the JFK-Ian Fleming International Airport (OCJ) route, you might want to think about making hotel accommodations close to the OCJ Airport. A good choice is The Rica Vista, which is only a seven-minute walk from OCJ airport.
  • Most travelers going from America to Jamaica often prefer to depart via John F. Kennedy International Airport. This airport enjoys a high level of popularity because it serves as a hub for several reputable airlines that fly internationally from the United States. Due to the competitive pricing, passengers are likely to find travel offers when flying from this airport to Jamaica.
  • Flights to Jamaica most often come through one of the island’s two major airports: Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) in Kingston and Donald Sangster International airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay. Both of these airports operate a high volume of international flights, but Montego Bay is a more popular destination.
  • Jamaican Dollars are the official currency of Jamaica; however, the island’s popular all-inclusive resorts, as well as some of the other popular tourist destinations commonly accept US Dollars. Jamaican Dollars will be needed if you’re going outside of the major cities, but you can use US Dollars near the airports until you can get to an ATM.
  • If you’re flying into Jamaica internationally then flying out to another destination, it can be beneficial to fly to Montego Bay, which is not only the biggest airport in Jamaica, it’s one of the biggest airports in the entire Caribbean. Flying in and out of Montego Bay gives you easy access to several different destinations both inside and outside of the Caribbean.
  • Tourists flock to Jamaica for Bacchanal Carnival, which can drive up flight prices. The carnival often starts slowly in the middle of February, but climaxes in late March, near the time of the final parade. Booking your flight to Jamaica outside of the last few weeks of March can help you get a better price.
  • The Reggae Sumfest is another lively festival held each July in Jamaica. If you’re traveling to the island for Sumfest, be sure to book your flight tickets early; and if not, booking your flight to Jamaica outside of the weekend during which Sumfest is held can save you money on your vacation.

Friendly flight attendants. Comfort plus seats were very comfortable and had lots of leg room. 10A and 10 B.

I've flown many many times on Northwest and then Delta. The crew on this flight were absolutely the best I've had the pleasure of being looked after by.

Flew first class so everything was great. But maybe because the flights were red eye, no meals were served, just chips. I flew Alaska Air 1st class at 9PM (2 hour flight) and they served beef short rib sliders!

Had to change aircraft due to a faulty door. Surprisingly it only caused about an hour and a half of delay. Delta handled this situation as well as can be expected.

Awful. Flight was continuously getting delayed and gates kept changing without any reason. Flight was delayed for more then 3 hours

Paid premium for Delta only to be on safe but tired old 767 with ancient cabin in mediocre condition. Poor wifi and horrible inflight entertainment. Hardly a premium experience. Should have flown SW and had fun flight crew and no pretense

Our flight to Zurich was delayed by almost 3 hours, so we missed our next flight. There was no indication it would be delayed this much. We were told the gate had changed and then it apparently took over 2 hours to load the "catering" on the plane. We were not compensated in any way for the trouble.

Rated entertainment as Mediocre as there were major problems with the Infotainment system that took probably a half hour for them to fix.

Your crew could maybe answer the call bell at least one of the times I pressed it. I pressed it first time with 2.5 hours left in our flight bc my partner was hungry and wanted a sandwich. We finally got the sandwich with 40 mins left in the flight.

Half the bathrooms assigned to economy were out of action

The walk from baggage claim to the taxi is very difficult for older people I will never fly into JFK again. It is physically challenging

Overall fine but both ways for this trip was delayed.

Flight was delayed by almost 5 hours. Suitcase was not loaded despite the flight being near empty (my colleagues’ suitcases did reach JFK, unlike mine). Had to argue on phone to get JetBlue to deliver the case to my hotel. Never again

The flight was excellent. The crew was welcoming and attentive.

Great! I love Jet Blue. My favorite airline! Very efficient, clean and timely.

Run out of snack choices. Why are the seats not padded for your butt? Are we sitting on blocks of wood or metal for $250-300 a pop? This ain’t spirit. Let’s get it together people

We were told that our flight would be delayed for 90+ minutes because of weather, so we went to get something to eat only to have them randomly start boarding 15 minutes after the announcement, with no warning.

Entertainment... No earphones passed out. Many including me couldn't use the TV. Legroom was good. Crew was indifferent and a bit surly. Free wifi was a nice convenience. Check in desk location was unknown. Gate number on the boarding passes was wrong.

Going through JFK’s security is a mess. The TSA security said no shoes on the bins. So, we place our shoes in the belt and they came out all over the belt. Boarding was delayed and Flight as well.

Safe and on time were the positives. The plane wasn't cleaned before boarding, there was garbage and food on the floor and in the seat pocket. The TV screen was small and the picture fuzzy, audio quality was poor. Seatbelt was fraying and seat did not recline properly. No charging ports near the seats,

Everything was pretty good except for food. They need to improve on it compared to other airlines.

Flight was delayed due to the late arrival of the catering truck, which is quite unacceptable. There was a beverage service, but no pretzel, or cookie, or nuts were served in coach.

Not worth the premium paid for the first class ticket

Not worth the price of premium class ticket paid, felt more like steerage.

Flighty delayed on boarding - then group 1 had to check their carry on bags but groups 3 and beyond could carry bags on - very inconvenient for weekend business trip with no checked baggage. Then delayed on the runway - before take off. No communication from pilot on why or how long. Wifi/Entertainment didn't work for 4+ flight. Upon arrival, attendants announced wrong carousel for baggage claim - everyone was waiting at the wrong place for their checked bags. This was a mess united!

I flew Delta last week and United Airlines is a poor substitute mechanical problems with the plane and shitty food among other things made my travel experience what’s become to be expected from United no way is it ever worth the money they make us pay

I had a great flight. Everything went smoothly and the flight arrived early.

Well....let's start from the point that I had to stay in airport for 12 hours instead of 2 that was scheduled. Poor company and even worst customer service. Never again....

The flight and boarding were easy peasy. I was traveling with my 4-year-old, so a smooth boarding experience was especially appreciated. My only piece of feedback is really about where our gate was in O'Hare. They've shoved four gates into a tiny corner of the B terminal and there isn't early enough room or seating for everyone. Not United's problem, but did dent the overall experience.

We liked the fully reclinable seats. Had center seats, so it was difficult to talk to spouse. Crew was great

Equipment swap led to 2+ hour delay on international flight. And to top it off, boarding took forever.

Wretched scheduling - they got themselves into a critical crew situation and didn’t try to address it until 15 minutes before they had to cancel my flight

They cancelled two flight and got us onto another airline, which was also delayed.

Nothing, terrible travel experience due to weather and maintenance delays and was left stranded in Austin.

Missed connection from Philadelphia to London because flight from DC was seriously delayed. Was re-routed the next day (had to pay for hotel) to Zurich and was given a main cabin middle seat while I had paid for premium. Great job AA!!!

My husband and I pre-ordered our food, but they did not have my husband’s order, and my cheese plate was very average. I asked for a blanket and was told they don’t carry blankets on domestic routs. The flight was on time and smooth!

28 hour delay at Fort Worth/Dallas airport, part due to weather which was unavoidable, but various other reasons - no pilot, no fa, mechanical problem, plane too small, too big, crew out of flying time, seat configuration problems.... endless and hourly updates with a different excuse. Finally told us about 3.00 am, that the flight was delayed to hours later.

Experience was bad. 3.5 hour delay for a 2.5 hour trip. There was no r Transparency about the reason for the delay and it was done 30 mins at a time.

Original flight delayed several times and finally canceled at 2:30 in the morning. Staff at the gate was not very helpful in resolving problems or communicating why there were delays. I spent 34 hours at the airport before I could leave, they couldn't book me on another early flight even after canceling my original flight. Next flight available after my original flight was canceled was 22 hours later. I will never fly American Airlines again.

very very tight seats unfriendly crew who do not seem to care about the comfort of their passengers and do not know how to smile poor ground staff support at LHR and PHX

The non stop flight and able to go into Atlantic City airport. They could lower the prices. It starts out low but then if you want to bring luggage and pick your seat the price goes up quite a bit.

Flight got diwngraded last minute and left us stranded. I was told I’ll be given credit for my luggage and seat upgrades but haven’t got anything yet

We can’t predict circumstances like this ahead of time, but I give your staff a hats off for immediately giving us updated informations.

It was nice! There was a very unhappy child in front of us and the flight attendant did a great job calming the child. I was impressed.

The plane was not on time for boarding or departure or arrivals.

EVERYTHING WAS WONDERFUL HOSPITALITY THE HELP.THE SEATING FRIENDLY ALWAYS HAVE A GOOD RIDE NOT ONE BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THEM

This was the smoothest flight I have had in awhile. I was also offered an exit row seat for a great upgrade cost and was able to sleep almost thr whole flight due to comfort and a smooth flight. We left on time and arrived on time.

No food not even water offered unless you buy it and no usb in the seat but other than that everything was good

Because our flight from marsh Harbor to Fort Lauderdale was over three hours delayed it caused us to miss our flight in Fort Lauderdale. Because we missed that flight, it cost us nearly $100 apiece for four different travelers which totaled nearly $400. We are seeking a reimbursement for the flight that we missed in Fort Lauderdale Florida.

Flight expected to leave at 6:40 pm ended leaving at 8:00 am the following day. I slept in a cold airport. Never again Spirit for me…
